Will the Witch

Will wasn’t normal. Will was PARANORMAL! Will could do cool things; he could make the cat talk Spanish, he could turn the car into a hump back whale, he could make his dad’s cabbage soup taste delicious.

The Night of the Travelling Beds

‘If it’s sprouts then I’m out!’ Pouted Troy.

‘It’s not just sprouts, there’s broccoli too.’ Replied mum.

‘No!’ He said, ‘I won’t! I won’t! I won’t! I won’t!’ He’d made up his mind and his mind said, ‘No.’

‘Well,’ said mum, ‘if you won’t eat your greens, you’ll have to miss dessert too.  No chocolate cake for you.’

Leopald the (Least) Weasel

Behold Leopald! The (least) weasel. Leopald was ferocious. Leopald was daring. Leopald was most disappointed when he was told that he was… a least weasel.

All the other least weasels rushed to assure him that it was just a name, not a judgement. That being a least weasel didn’t mean he wasn’t still cool, cunning and courageous.

But Leopald was proud and he demanded to know, ‘If I am the least weasel, who is the most? Who is more weasel than me?!’

Little Beige Riding Hood

Once upon a time there was a girl called Little Red Riding Hood, she was a brave, fearless girl full to the brim with joie de vivre, wherever she went adventure would follow. But this story isn’t about her. It’s about her cousin, Little Beige Riding Hood.

Little Beige Riding Hood didn’t like adventures, she didn’t like team sports and she wasn’t particularly keen on nice long walks in ‘the great outdoors.’ Mostly because ‘The Great Outdoors,’ wasn’t great at all, it was pretty scary actually and full of wolves. All Little Beige Riding Hood wanted to do was sit in her favourite comfy chair, drink cocoa and read fascinating, educational books about the life cycle of mushrooms.

The Ugly Cup

Once there was a cup that didn’t look like all the other cups because this cup was The Ugly Cup.

All the children in the house would argue over who had to have the ugly cup as none of them wanted him.

One day the ugly cup woke up to find that he wasn’t in his usual cupboard in his usual house, rather, he was on an unusual shelf, in an unusual shop surrounded by unusual items. Some of them were very, very old. ‘Surely,’ he thought, ‘I can’t be the ugliest cup on this shelf.’ But…

The Twilight Time Antique Shop

You are standing on the corner of a street you’ve never been to before. How did you get here? Who knows? Not me! Shouldn’t you be on your way home from school? Yes. Oh well, it’s raining quite a lot, and for some reason the sun seems to be running away with itself.  Maybe you should take shelter somewhere. Where? Why, there of course, in the Twilight Time Antique Shop. What do you mean it wasn’t there before? Of course it was, don’t be silly. Anyway, go in or you’ll get soaked.
